Strong Earthquake of Magnitude 6.6 Hits 108km of Sola, Vanuatu, has not triggered a tsunami warning

Earthquake strikes near Vanuatu

A magnitude 6.6 earthquake struck at 2300 GMT (NZT12pm) Saturday north-northwest of Vanuatu, the US Geological Survey reported.
The temblor, at a depth of 35 kilometers in the south Pacific Ocean, did not trigger a warning from the regional tsunami warning center.
